George Kostakis is Coordinator of the Department for VET and Qualifications at the European centre for the development of vocational training (Cedefop).

Cedefop is a decentralized agency of the European Union helping the European Commission, EU Member States and the social partners to develop the right policies for VET, skills, and qualifications.

George leads Cedefop’s work on VET policies and systems which analyzes developments and implementation of national VET policies in line with the VET Recommendation and Osnabruck Declaration, and coordinates Cedefop’s work on qualifications and credentials. His thematic expertise includes implementation of EU priorities in VET, quality assurance in VET, and international qualifications.
