Ivana Gagro

Ivana Gagro is a graduate architect and vocational subject teacher from Zagreb, Croatia, currently serving as Principal of a construction technical school in Zagreb. With extensive experience teaching vocational subjects related to architecture and civil engineering, she has dedicated her career to promoting sustainable building practices and preparing students for future challenges in the construction industry.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the GREENCO project, she coordinates workshops focused on the use of natural and traditional materials. These include field trips, hands-on workshops, and practical lessons incorporating materials such as straw, clay, and wood. These activities foster experiential learning and interdisciplinary cooperation, inspiring a contemporary and sustainable approach to architecture rooted in regional heritage.

She leads the course Green Building within the school curriculum, with a focus on sustainable design, low-energy construction, and ecological responsibility. Through these initiatives, she actively connects vocational education with real-world environmental solutions, raising awareness of sustainable practices among students and educators.
