Mislav has worked in the field of education since 1998. First as a Principal, and latter as the Dean of Algebra University of Applied Sciences and now Rector of Algebra Bernays Universtiy.

In that position he designs study programs and a quality assurance system of the institution. He has worked on the National Education and Science Strategy and on number of other regulatory documents at the national level.

Mislav is currently a member or has been a member of a number of bodies such as; National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technology (2010-2016), the Commission for the Establishment of the CROQF, the Commission for the Drafting of the Adult Education Act, the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education, the Act on Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education, President of the Croatian Employers Association, a member of the Accreditation Council (2021-2023) and the president of the Sectoral Council for Electrical Engineering and Computing for three terms (2009-2021).

Mislav sees all these positions, as well as the role of the Rector of Algebra Bernays University, as an opportunity to help create a competitive environment in Croatia to live and work.

He is currently involved in the strategic positioning of DIVERSE University Alliance (European University Allianace). Mislav is an incorrigible optimist who believes that the results in business or private life are proportional to the faith, passion, and work invested.
